The North Lamar High School Athletic Booster Club exists:
To support, promote and encourage a high school standard of integrity and good sportsmanship in all activities.
To foster and promote goodwill and school spirit.
To promote and encourage all students to be involved in athletics, either as an active participant or as a support.
Lastly to raise funds to assist all athletic programs and to promote annual scholarship (s) for North Lamar athletes. 

Mission of the NLHS Panther Band The mission of the North Lamar Band program is to prepare our students to live and work successfully in a changing world. Through the program, a student will learn the value of creativity, discipline, organization, teamwork and evaluation. The band program strives to promote a positive environment for which a student can grow, and mature physically, intellectually, aesthetically and emotionally in a secure environment, as well as, stimulating both logical and intuitive thinking. Participation in the North Lamar Band will heighten the awareness of the importance and value that music plays in our community and world. Furthermore, the student will better comprehend the life long effects that music can have on individual lives physically, mentally and emotionally.

The National Beta Club recognizes academic achievement, promotes character, develops leadership skills, encourages service involvement, an provides technological advantages to students in grades 10-12. Our Beta Club members are learning to lead while serving others. We are very proud of our National Beta Club members for their personal growth, their confidence, and their belief that they will make a difference for themselves, their fellow club members, their school and their community.

FBLA students are preparing for careers in business and business-related fields. Business teachers, advisers, and advisory councils guide the local chapters. Through state-based competition at the spring State Leadership Conferences, students compete in events testing their business knowledge and skills. Top state winners then are eligible to compete for honors at the National Leadership conference each summer.

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is a non-profit national career and technical student organization for young men and women that are currently taking Family and Consumer Sciences classes or have previously enrolled in FCS classes. Involvement in FCCLA offers members the opportunity to expand their leadership potential and develop skills for life -- planning, goal setting, problem solving, decision making and interpersonal communication -- necessary in the home and workplace.

HOSA is a national student organization whose two-fold mission is to promote career opportunities in health care industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people. HOSA’s goal is to encourage all health occupations instructors and students to join and be actively involved. HOSA provides a unique program of leadership development, motivation, and recognition for students enrolled in Health Science Technology. HOSA also has local, state and national competitions.

Key club is a service organization for high school students sponsored by Kiwanis. We meet the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month at 6:30 PM in room 109. We do service projects to help the school and community. Dues are $13.00; they go to the district and international organizations.

Membership in NHS is by invitation only at the conclusion of the junior year. The National Honor Society is an organization that recognizes students for the qualities of character, scholarship, leadership, and service.  To be inducted a student must achieve a 5.0 cumulative grade point, be of good character as observed by all their teachers, have been involved in service activities both in the community and at school, and be an example of what a leader should be. Through NHS service activities, members maintain and extend the qualities that won them selection. Membership is thus both an honor and a commitment to set an example for fellow students to be the best they can be. Bylaws

SkillsUSA is a national student organization that works directly with business and industry to maintain American productivity, quality and competitiveness. SkillsUSA teaches the importance of developing leadership skills, positive attitudes and pride in workmanship. Students are prepared for employment by introducing them to corporate quality culture. Emphasis is placed on respect for the dignity of work, high standards in trade ethics, superior workmanship, quality and safety. There are two chapters of SkillUSA at North Lamar High School, Automotive and Outdoor Power Equipment. Students can compete on the local, state and national levels.

The purpose of Student Council is to provide a voice for the student body. Student Council is available to students who maintain at least a three point grade average. Student must attend North Lamar school district for at least one year before he/she can become an officer. 
Activities include helping with school spirit, homecoming, class officer elections, canned food drives,  and Battle of the Sexes.
